Descrição da vaga: Job DescriptionHybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on a full-time basisWhat you’ll do (responsibilities):Own and release responsibility for a fully integrated solution on-time and with high quality.Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and sub-systems. Integration and Release of Propulsion (engine, transmission) and Chassis (brake, power steering, transfer case, fuel flow) Electronic Control Modules and datafiles.Collaborate in a Scaled Agile product delivery team, comprised of cross-functional company peers and component supplier engineers to continuously prioritize, refine, and deploy component and system features.Lead controller change negotiations with suppliers and internal key stakeholders and update and release requirement documents.Organize and provide all documents for sourcing and provide technical expertise during purchasing process.Leads and facilitates embedded controls module Product Development Team (PDT) meetings.Responsible for all interfaces that are defined and documented including packaging of components.Coordinate requirements and design reviews with suppliers, e.g. DFMEA, DRBFM, Peer Reviews.Ensures parts are validated and available for key pre-production vehicle build milestones.Assure that production released parts meet PPAP and supplier manufacturing is ready to start volume production at product launch.Responsible for reducing controller warranty to meet quality targetAdditional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Software, Computational, Automation Automotive or Controls Engineering.Experience in electrical, electronic or mechatronic product in automotive engineering:Knowledge of various vehicular switches and their sub-components (e.g. terminals, connectors, functionality, materials, etc…).Understanding of an electrical architecture diagram as well as a wiring harness schematic.Knowledge of the marketing available related simulation tools.Including significant physical integration (packaging) and functional integration work, as well as performance assessments.Deep knowledge of the different types of materials required in the switches, internal switch design best practices, etc.Perform detailed investigation of the Health of the similar (previous program) to make sure all past issues are addressed in new design.Evaluate competition and execute a benchmarking including supplier information.Basic understanding of validation processes.Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of electrical and electronic circuits.Analytical ability to solve problems.Demonstrated proficiency in project management skills.Effective interpersonal skills that focus and influence others in any different organization level.This position requires you to be able to legally operate & drive a motor vehicle.What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)Master’s degree in engineering field (CREA required).Experience in the GM component specification and release process.Knowledge of software and CAN communication.Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference and respective issues resolutions.DFSS Green / Black Belt certification.About GMOur vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.Why Join UsWe aspire to be the most inclusive company in the world.
